titleOfInvention | Improvements in or relating to liquid adhesive compositions prepared from plastic polymerized chloroprene |
abstract | 507,637. Coating-compositions. B.B. CHEMICAL CO., Ltd. Dec. 17, 1937, No. 34940. Convention date, Dec. 28, 1936. [Class 95] The gelling tendency of liquid adhesives comprising solutions of plastic polymerized chlproprene in a solvent is diminished by adding thereto diethylamine and an ethanolamine. The chloroprene may be the product described in Specification 468,435, [Group IV], and the solvent may be benzene, trichlorethylene, toluene, - xylene or carbon tetrachloride. The composition may also contain zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, sulphur, and an accelerator such as a butyraldehyde-aniline condensation product. Before addition to the solvent, the other materials may be milled together in batches, all of the zinc oxide being included in one batch. The product may be used in uniting outsoles to shoe bottoms. |
