titleOfInvention An improved hair treating medium
abstract A hair-treating medium contains, inter alia, condensation products prepared by reacting albumen decomposition products in alkaline solution with sebacic acid chlorides, and which may be formed as described in Specification 413,016.ALSO:A hair-treating medium consists of a clear aqueous solution of lecithin and a sulphonated oil or fat and an additional dispersing medium consisting of sulphonated high molecular alcohols or their esters, acidyl derivatives of taurine in the form of alkali salts, or condensation products prepared by reacting albumen decomposition products in alkali solution with sebacic acid chlorides and which may be formed as described in Specification 413,016, [Group IV], these additional substances being used alone or in admixture. Preserving-agents such as salicylic, benzoic and boric acids may be added. In examples: (1) distilled water, 40 per cent lauryl alcohol sulphonate solution and highly sulphonated olive oil are mixed, filtered and added to a solution of lecithin in ethyl alcohol in which is present triacetin or glycerin and salicylic acid; (2) a mixture of a condensate produced by the reaction in alkaline solution of lysalbinic acid with sebacic acid chloride, highly sulphonated olive oil and distilled water is added to the lecithin solution referred to above. Specifications 306,672 and 317,730, [both in Class 76], also are referred to.
