titleOfInvention Method and apparatus for the heating of domestic or industrial premises
abstract 471,505. Heat - storing apparatus. SOC. MECANO FRANCAISE. Dec. 3, 1935, Nos. 33514 and 33515. Void. Convention dates, Dec. 3, 1934 and Dec. 2, 1935. [Class 64 (ii)] A metal casing 1, the surface of which is adapted to radiate heat, contains an inner tube 2 with an electric heating resistance, immersed in a heat storing substance. Heat - conducting plates 8 may be provided. The heat absorbing substance possesses a latent heat of fusion exceeding 40 calories per kilogram, and may consist of monohydrated caustic soda, pentahydrated sodium monosilicate, pentahydrated sodium thiosulphate, hydrated barium oxide, or monohydrated caustic potash. The apparatus may be provided with removable heat insulation, and heat may be supplied from other sources such as steam, combustion gas, or engine cooling water. The amount of water in the heat storing substance, and the temperature to which it is heated, may be varied.
