abstract | 404,698. Depilating hides and skins. OONAH, Ltd., and HEDBERG, O. M., 152, Peterborough Street, Christchurch, New Zealand. July 21, 1932, No. 20609. [Class 76.] Hides, skins, &c., are depilated by painting on the flesh side a material comprising a sodium sulphide base, a thickening agent such as pollard and a soap. An oil such as neats-foot oil and naphthalene may be added to the mixture which is made up with water. After removal of the hair the skins are thrown into lime liquor, stacked and then fleshed and pickled. |
