titleOfInvention | Recording sounds photographically on films for colour photography |
abstract | 393,844. Combined sound and colour picture films. I. G. FARBENINDUSTRIE AKT.-GES., Frankfort-on-Main, Germany. Oct. 31, 1932, No. 30541. Convention date, Nov. 28, 1931. [Class 40 (ii).] Sound is recorded photographically on a bi-pack, in which two films are united with their light-sensitive emulsion layers adjacent to each other but separated by a filter layer which is dyed with a colour complementary to a colour to which one of the emulsions is sensitized. According to the invention, the film bearing the special colour-sensitive layer is arranged on the side nearer the objective, and the sound is recorded on this film through its support. Erythrosin may be used for sensitizing the emulsion layer of this film to the yellow-green part of the spectrum, a red filter layer consisting of an alcoholic solution of aurin being applied to the said layer. A panchromatic emulsion is used for the second layer. |
