[Class 110 (iii).] An inner casing and an outer casing which are subjected to different temperatures and pressures are connected together by means which permit relative displacement in radial and axial directions. The application to a turbine having an inner casing 1 and an outer casing 3 is described. The connecting means comprises a ring 2, Fig. 2, bolted to the casing 3 and having slots adapted to be engaged by tapered lugs 4 on the casing 1 so as to permit the desired displacement. The lugs may be replaced by tapered or parallel-sided keys. Further modifications are shown in Figs. 6 and in which pins 9 and bolts 8 are employed.
