Convention date, April 28, 1930. Drawings to Specification. [Class 98 (ii).] In a process of bi- or tri-pack photography the surface of the front component in contact with the second component is coated with a thin layer of a dye which acts as a sensitizer for the front layer and as a screening dye for the second layer. The dye may be an acid dye of the fluorescein class such as mono-, di- and tetra-chlorfluorescein and mono- and di-bromfluorescein, eosine, erythrosine, erythrosine B, phloxine rose bengal, or tetra-iodo-di-chlor fluorescein or a basic dye of the rhodamine class such as rhodamine 6-G pinaflavol, pinaflavol-p-toluenesulphonate, orthochrome T, pinaverdol, acridine orange, thiazole yellow, quinoline red or a dye of the group comprising isocyanines, pseudocyanines, carbocyanines, kryptocyanines, oxycarbocyanines, thio-carbo cyanines, styryl-pyridines and styryl quinolines, and may be used in the form of the ammonium salt.
