titleOfInvention Improvements in the printing of materials containing cellulose ethers or esters
abstract In printing fabrics containing cellulose esters or ethers, e.g cellulose acetate silk, with water-insoluble azo and nitro-substituted diphenylamine dyes, hydroxyethylamines, particularly triethanolamine, are added to the printing pastes. In an example, cellulose acetate is printed with a paste containing Dispersol fast orange A, triethanolamine, and gum tragacanth, dried lightly, steamed and washed. Dispersol fast orange BS and Dispersol fast yellow A are also mentioned as suitable printing colours.
