[Class 140.] Wool, fur, hair &c. are protected against attack by moth and other textile pests by incorporating therewith compounds of the type S : C@ in which R signifies an alkyl, aryl or aralkyl radicle and R1 signifies hydrogen or an aryl radicle. Substances such as thiobenzamide, thioacetanilide, thioiso-valeric acid anilide, thioiso-caproic acid anilide and thiophenylacetic acid anilide are applied in solutions of organic solvents such as benzene, benzine, ligroin and carbon tetrachloride. Specification 326,567, [Class 140, Waterproof &c. fabrics], is referred to. |
