Indiarubber, separating from latex.-Rubber is deposited electrically or otherwise from latex which contains a lignone extract (sulphite cellulose lye) obtained by the process described in Specification 229,002, [Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.]. The latex may contain in addition ammonium persulphate, a metabisulphite, ammonium sulphate, a salt of a polythionic acid, sodium thiosulphate; also viscose, sulphur, and fillers such as zinc oxide which are deposited with the rubber. The anode may be coated lightly with graphite &c., and a porous screen may be used. The Provisional Specification refers to the use of molasses, farina, starch paste, glue and colloidal sulphur as alternatives to lignone extract.
