abstract | 315,899. Bloxam, A. G., (Verein fiir Chemische und Metallurgische Produktion). March 22, 1928. 1-(2<1>:3<1>-Oxynaphthoyl) amino-3-(4<11>-toluenesulphonaminobenzene is obtained by condensing 3-nitraniline with 4-toluenesulphonic chloride in presence of calcium carbonate, reducing the nitro group, and treating the product with 2 : 3- oxynaphthoic acid in chlorobenzene with addition of phosphorus trichloride. 1-(4'-Cresotyl) amino-3-(4<11>-toluenesulphon) aminobenzene, 1-(1<1> : 4<1>-oxynaphthoyl) amino-3- (4<11>-toluenesulphon) aminobenzene, and 1- (2<1> : 3<1>-oxytetraloyl) amino -3- (4<11> -toluenesulphon aminobenzene are similarly obtained with replacement of the 2 : 3-oxynaphthoic acid by 4- cresotinic acid, 1 : 4-oxynaphthoic acid, and tetrahydro-2 : 3-oxynaphthoic acid respectively. 1-Salicylamino-4-(4<1>-toluenesulphon) aminobenzene is similarly obtained by condensing 4- nitraniline with 4-toluenesulphonic chloride, reducing the nitro group, and treating the product with salicylic acid. 1-Methyl-2-(2<1> : 3<1>.oxynaphthoyl) aminobenbene-4-sulphanilide is obtained by condensing 1- methyl-2-nitrobenzene-4-sulphonic chloride with aniline, reducing the nitro group, and condensing the product with 2 : 3-oxynaphthoyl chloride in chlorobenzene solution. Tetrahydro - 2 - izaphthol. - 3 - sulphanilide is obtained by condensing tetrahydro-2-naphthol- 3-sulphonic chloride with aniline in toluene solution. 2-Naphthol-3: 6- and 6 : 8-disulphanilides in admixture are obtained by treating the commercial mixture of sodium 2-naphthol-3: 6- and 6 : 8-disulphonates with phosphorus pentachloride and condensing the resulting mixture of disulphonic chlorides with aniline. 1-Methyl-2-amino-4-sulphamidobenzene is obtained by nitrating 4-toluenesulphonic chloride, condensing the product with ammonia, and reducing the nitro group. |
