Phosphoric esters.-Neutral phosphoric esters containing at least one radical of a primary aliphatic alcohol with more than four carbon atoms in its molecule, the other radicals of the ester belonging either to the aliphatic or hydroaromatic series, e.g. tri-isoamyl phosphate, diisoamyl butyl phosphate, di-ethyl isoamyl phosphate and di-isoamyl cyclohexyl phosphate, are obtained by acting with an alkyl iodide, for example butyl or amyl iodide and cyclohexyl iodide, on silver phosphate or on the silver salts of the mono- or di-alkyl esters of phosphoric acid. |
