titleOfInvention Improvements relating to the manufacture of phosphatic fertilisers
abstract 269,199. PrÚparation Industrielle des Combustibles, and Hoffmann, A. April 8, 1926, [Convention date]. Manures. - A large proportion of a soluble chloride, e.g. sylvinite, is added to a decanted and filtered solution obtained by treating natural phosphate with an excess of hydrochloric acid. A portion of the water is evaporated, and the solution cooled to crystallize out calcium chloride. The excess hydrochloric acid is evaporated and recovered, and the phosphates crystallized out in forms solulble in water. Potassium phosphate free from chlorine, sodium phosphate and mono-calcium phosphates are formed. The final solution may be evaporated to form a mixture of phosphates and sodium and potassium chlorides.
