abstract An aqueous composition comprising phosphorous, 2.0-20 wt% boron, and 2.0-20 wt% of a seaweed extract. Phosphorous may be expressed as P2O5 and comprise 1.0-10 wt% of the composition. The aqueous composition may contain an alkanolamine, selected from mono-, di- and tri-ethanolamine or mono-, di- and tri-propanolamine. The mono-ethanolamine may be between 1.0-50 wt% of the composition. Boron may be present between 2.0-15 wt%, and the aqueous composition may comprise boric acid or boron monoethanolamine between 10-50 wt%. The seaweed species may be between 2.0-15 wt% of the aqueous composition, and may be Kappaphycus Alvarezii, Ascophyllum Nodosum, Ecklonia Maxima, Durvillea Potatorum, Macrocystis Pyrifera, Sargassum, Laminaria Digitata or mixtures thereof. The aqueous composition may contain a phosphate salt, in particular an alkanolamine phosphate such as monoethanolamine phosphate. The aqueous composition may have a pH between 5.0-10.0, and may comprise 5.0-10 wt% of phosphorus and boron each, and 5.0-15 wt% seaweed extract. A method is disclosed for producing the aqueous composition, comprising providing water or an aqueous solution and adding a source of phosphorus, boron and seaweed extract to the solution. The use of the aqueous composition as a fertilizer, particularly a foliar fertiliser, is also disclosed.
