abstract | A set of contact lenses 200; each lens 201a, 201b comprises a peripheral zone 204a, 204b and an optic zone 202a, 202. The peripheral zone surrounds the optic zone and has a varying thickness profile to control rotation of the lens. The optic zone comprises a central region 205a, 205b having a first optical axis and a base power curvature and annular region 203a, 203b. The annular region surrounds the central region and comprises a treatment zone 207a, 207b configured to reduce the contrast of an image formed by light passing through the treatment zone and the central region relative to an image through the central region only. The treatment zone is positioned relative to the peripheral zone thickness profile at a different angle about the optic axis for each lens. The treatment zone may cover less than 50% of the annular region and comprise a curvature variation providing an add power. The annular region may extend radially from a perimeter of the central region. The varying thickness profile may be a prism ballast 209a, 209b. A method of manufacturing a set of contact lens and a kit comprising the lenses are also claimed. |
