abstract |
Disclosed is a connector 24 for use with an airway device and connectable to a gas supply, comprising loops or rings 80 which when over moulded during connection to an airway tube of the airway device prevent removal of the connector from the airway tube (due to over moulded material filling the void provided by the loops/rings). The connector may further comprise inner 190 (Figure 15a) and outer 192 (Figure 15a) tubes connected by one or more spigots 194 (Figure 15a). Over moulded material may fill the void between the inner and outer tubes. Further independent claims are included to an airway device comprising a connector comprising a material which loses structure/rigidity when exposed to water, and to an airway device comprising a reduced or low dead space connector. |
