abstract A method of manufacturing a wearable article 1, e.g. smart clothing, that includes a sensor assembly for sensing signals from a wearer, e.g. biosignals comprising at least one sensor and a sensor interface which may wirelessly couple sensor data to an electronic device e.g. mobile phone. The sensor interface includes sensing electronics provided on a PCB 142. The method includes the steps of: attaching the sensor interface to a surface of the wearable article 1, e.g. garment, and forming the housing 146 around the printed circuit board to encase it. The PCB 142 may be sewn, stitched, embroidered or riveted onto the garment 1. Conductors 112a, 112b may be formed of conductive thread which is stitched through the PCB terminals 144. The housing 146 may be injection moulded and enclose the PCB 142 on both the inner and outer surfaces 2, 3 of the wearable article 1. The housing 146 may provide protection from water ingress.
