titleOfInvention Garment, method and device
abstract A garment 11 comprises: a sensor 101, 103 arranged to monitor the activity of the wearer of the garment; a communication unit 105 arranged to receive activity data for the wearer from the sensor and transmit the activity data to an external device 15; and a fiducial marker 107 in the form of a 2D image located on an outside surface of the garment. The fiducial marker is arranged such that, when imaged by an image capturing device 13, the fiducial marker is useable to determine position information for the garment. The fiducial marker may be an augmented reality marker and may further comprise a code string identifying the garment encoded into a visual symbol, usable to access activity data associated with the sensor of the garment. The system may simultaneously display a representation of the wearer of the garments, such as an avatar, with a representation of the activity data on a display, wherein the activity data may partially overlay the representation of the wearer at a position corresponding to the estimated location of the sensor (see fig.3). The activity data may comprise data related to a muscle or cardiac activity.
