abstract |
A vacuum apparatus casing 12 and a method of manufacturing a vacuum apparatus casing are provided. The vacuum apparatus casing 12 houses at least one pumping mechanism 15 or at least one abatement device. The casing 12 has internal channelling 60 which defines at least one closed heat transfer pathway. The internal channeling 60 includes first and second annular channels 62, 64 which are inter connected by at least one elongate channel 66. Heat is conducted through the casing 12 from a first position to a second position via the channels 62, 64, 66 to be rejected from the casing to an external cooling system. |
