abstract |
A water soluble fibrous structure comprising a plurality of water soluble filaments and a plurality of active agent containing particles, wherein at least one of the filaments comprises one or more filament forming materials. The structure comprising one or more apertures such that the following properties are exhibited: Fibre Orientation Index Ratio of greater than 1, Average Aperture Equivalent Diameter of greater than 0.15 mm and Average Fractional Open Area of between 0.005 and 80 %. The apertures may be present in a pattern which may be repeating. There may be two or more classes of aperture such that 2 different Average Aperture Equivalent Diameters are measured. The filament forming material may be a hydroxyl polymer. One of more of the soluble filaments may also contain active agents releasable when exposed to conditions of intended use. Also included is a claim to a multi-ply fibrous structure comprising at least one water soluble fibrous structure. |
