abstract |
This application relates to transmit beamforming in a multi-carrier, multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system. Singular value decomposition (SVD) is applied to a channel matrix to determine an initial transmit beamforming matrix. The columns (i.e. beamforming vectors) of this matrix are reordered to produce a final transmit beamforming matrix. The reordering is based on a signal characteristic. Furthermore, the columns of the initial beamforming matrix are re-ordered upon changes of the signal characteristic. |
