Disclosed is an oxidative dye for oxidative color change of keratinic fibers, in particular human hair, comprising: at least one alkalising agent; at least one oxidative dye precursor of the developer type; at least one oxidative dye precursor of the coupler type; at least one extract of Quassia amara and, based on the weight of the oxidative dye, from about 0 to less than about 0.1 wt % peroxide compounds. Most preferably, the at least one extract of Quassia amara amounts to 0.15 to 0.5 wt.% based on the total composition. Preferably, the extract is obtained from the bark-free wood of the plant. Preferably, the oxidative dye contains at least one cosmetic oil (e.g. natural and synthetic hydrocarbons (e.g. paraffin oils, isoparaffins etc.)). Preferably, the composition further comprises a surfactant. |
