abstract A printhead die that is suitable for an inkjet printer comprises: a plurality of actuators 22; first electrodes 28 of the actuators 22 are in electrical communication with a plurality of electrical connections 35; a first 137a electrical bus is in common electrical communication with second electrodes 26 of a first group of the actuators 22; and a second electrical bus 137 is in common electrical communication with second electrodes 26 of a second group of the actuators 22; allowing first and second signals to be provided to the two groups of second electrodes 26. The print head die may include three or more electrical buses 137 providing electrical connection to different groups of actuators 22. The signals provided to the second electrodes 26 may be ground signals.
