A hand-held appliance such as a hairdryer comprises a tube in the form of handle (20, fig.1) defining a fluid flow path from a fluid inlet (40, fig.1) into the tube to a fluid outlet from the tube at a distal end (22, fig.1). A device for distributing at least one wire to the tube comprises a central hub 110 and at least one arm 120, 122 extending from the central hub towards the tube, wherein the at least one arm houses at least one wire. The arm may extend across the fluid flow path. The arm is preferably symmetrical in cross section, and where there are two arms they are preferably diametrically spaced apart. The arms may have an aerofoil cross-section to minimise flow disturbance within the fluid flow path. |
