titleOfInvention Composition
abstract A buoyant fluid comprising a base fluid, microspheres and a viscosifying agent, the viscosifying agent comprising a block copolymer. The base fluid may be oil or water and low toxicity to marine life. The buoyant fluid may contain a viscosifying agent which may be a polysaccharide, a dispersant such as imidazoline or poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) dioleate. The block copolymer may be a diblock copolymer, preferably a linear dibock copolymer of styrene and one or more of ethylene, propylene and butadiene where the styrene content is from 20 -35 wt%. The copolymer may form a plurality of micelles with the core made of styrene heads.
