titleOfInvention Infrared sensor with limitation aperture
abstract An infrared sensor assembly 100 comprises at least a first sensing element 120 for sensing infrared radiation and an aperture means 110 comprising a plurality of apertures 111 or holes. The at least a first sensing element 120 and the aperture means 110 are positioned with respect to each other so that the plurality of apertures 111 are positioned in front of the first sensing element 120 so that the plurality of apertures 111 limit the field of view (FOV) of the first sensing element 120 for impinging radiation. The aperture means 110 may have a thickness 112 so that the plurality of apertures have inner walls which are non-reflecting or made absorbent. The aperture means 110 may be a perforated plate. The apertures may have a tubular shape, a circular cross-section, a quadrangular cross-section, a rectangular cross-section or an oval cross-section.
