titleOfInvention Detector and method for simultaneously detecting gamma ray and neutron ray using same
abstract A detector comprises a detector crystal (1), multilayered moderators (2) and multilayered converters (3); the moderators (2) are arranged to slow down neutrons entering the moderators (2); the converters (3) are arranged to make the slowed neutron and the converters (3) achieve a neutron capture reaction; the detector crystal (1) is arranged to detect the entering ray; wherein, each of the moderators (2) and each of the converters (3) are laid to overlap each other, and the moderators (2) and the converters (3) are positioned at the exterior of the detector crystal (1). The detector has a wide application range, high detection sensitivity and can be used to simultaneously detect neutron rays and gamma rays.
