titleOfInvention Measuring skin autofluorescence using light reflected from the skin.
abstract A reflection detection type measurement apparatus for measuring skin fluorescence, as an indicator of Advanced Glycation End products (AGEs) which accumulate in the skin and are indicative of disease. The apparatus includes a first light source 411, a second light source 412, a first optical detector 421 and a second optical detector 422, a light source switching controller, an optical prism 430 and an operator. The light sources emit light of different wavelengths, such that the second light source irradiates light of the same wavelength range as that of the wavelength of the fluorescence excited by the first light source.
