titleOfInvention | A solid fuel stove having secondary air outlet areas at the front and rear of the firebox |
abstract | A stove has a firebox, a front face 20 with a fuel door 22; a rear face 30; and a base 10. Two secondary air flows 70, 80 direct air towards the base, having a first outlet 72 at the front face across the door; and a smaller cross-section, higher velocity, second outlet (fig 3, 82) on the rear face closer to the base. A convoluted conduit 81 first directs the second secondary air flow 80 away from the base, and then reverses flow back towards the base. An inclined baffle 40 extends from the rear face towards the front face. The conduit and baffle pre-heat the secondary air. Primary air flow 60 has an outlet 62 close to the base; and continuous tertiary air flow 90 has an outlet (fig 3, 92) delivering air to the upper half of the firebox. Valves control the primary and secondary air flows. |
