abstract An otic composition, for use in aiding removal of trapped water from the ear, the composition comprising an alcohol and a vegetable oil. Also disclosed is a process for preparing such a composition, the use of the composition in aiding removal of trapped water from the ear and a dropper bottle for use in administering such a composition to the ear. The preferred alcohol is isopropyl alcohol, whilst the preferred vegetable oil is olive oil. Further ingredients, for example glycerine, propylene glycol and a surfactant such as sodium sulphosuccinate may be incorporated into the composition.
