titleOfInvention | Far infra-red garment fabric |
abstract | A garment fabric which is a far infra-red fabric comprises a fabric support 11 for defining the shape of a garment and a therapeutic fabric layer 14 secured to a surface of the fabric support to cover at least a part of the surface of the fabric support, the therapeutic fabric layer comprises fibres or filaments which have been provided with antibacterial properties and which have been provided with magnetic properties by treatment with magnetic particles. The therapeutic fabric layer may be secured to the fabric support by means of a flexible adhesive, such as natural latex that has been filtered to remove impurities. Preferably, the adhesive comprises one or more of potassium hydroxide, allantoin, acetylsalicylic acid and an accelerant. The therapeutic fabric layer can comprise one or more of sulphur, zinc oxide, allantoin and lanolin. Typically, the therapeutic fabric layer is provided with antibacterial properties by treatment with a colourless nano silver solution. The fabric support may define the shape of a sock 10 and the therapeutic fabric layer can be secured to one or each of the heel 12 and ball 13 regions of the sock. |
