| abstract | A golf club head 700 comprises a club head body having a ball striking face 214 and defining a rear cavity and an insert member 710 in the rear cavity, wherein the insert member interior includes one or more chambers 714 facing the rear surface 214a of the ball striking face 214. The chamber(s) 714 cover at least 30% of a total surface area of the interior surface of the insert member and may cover at least 30% of a total interior major surface area of the rear cavity. The club head 700 may also include a bridge member 320 extending along a portion of the rear surface of the insert member 710 and the insert member 710 may include a window 318; a fluid filled bladder may be partially included within the chamber(s) 714. Golf clubs including these club heads and methods of making such golf clubs and golf club heads also are described. |
