abstract An apparatus is disclosed for separating minerals in drilling fluid based. The separator comprises a housing having a fluid inlet for the fluid mixture, at least one rotating disk 70 having an electrode array 74 positioned inside the disk 70 to suspend a first material of the fluid mixture within the disk, there also being a mechanism configured to rotate the disk 70. A second material of the fluid mixture separates out above the suspended first material and a third material separates out below the suspended first material.
