abstract |
A room temperature fast-curing organopolysiloxane composition comprising: (A) 100 parts by weight of a polydiorganopolysiloxane having both ends terminated with hydroxy groups and/or hydrolysable groups; (B) 0.5 to 10 parts by weight of a silane and/or a siloxane having at least 3 alkenoxy groups attached to silicon in the molecule; (C) 0.5 to 10 parts by weight of a silane and/or a siloxane having at least 3 amino groups bound to silicon in the molecule and being capable of forming a compound having a -NH2 group by hydrolysis; and (D) 0.01 to 10 parts by weight of a curing catalyst. Preferred aminosilanes include methyl tri-n-butylaminosilane (methyltris(butylamino)silane), methyltriethylaminosilane (methyltris(ethyl amino)silane) and methyltricyclohexylaminosilane (methyltris(cyclohexylamino)silane). Preferred alkenoxysilanes are of the general formula: R1x-Si(O-CR2=CR3R4)4-x wherein R1 and R2 each are an optionally substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group; R3 and R4 are hydrogen or an optionally substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group; or R2 and R3 can form an alicyclic hydrocarbon group together with the carbon-carbon double bond to which they are attached; and x is 0 or 1. |
