titleOfInvention Dermatologic treatment lamp with a wavelength selective reflector to increase brightness
abstract A lamp for treating the skin has an incoherent light source such as a flash lamp 304 and a first, wavelength-selective reflector 306 that reflects radiation of unwanted wavelengths 310 back to the light source (recycling) to increase its brightness. Desirable wavelengths 312 pass through the reflector and are preferably directed by a second reflector 314 through a waveguide 318 and onto the skin.
