Calcium-binding phosphoproteins |
abstract |
A protein comprising the amino acid set forth in SEQ ID NO: 1 or with one or more deletions, substitutions, insertions or additions and which has the ability to bond with a peroxide of coelenterazine or a peroxide of a coelenterazine derivative so as to form a holoprotein that emits light under the action of a calcium ion. The protein may be used as a reporter protein or a luminescence marker. A polynucleotide according to the present invention is also useful as a reporter gene. |
