abstract |
A magnetic recording cartridge has a cartridge and a magnetic recording medium which is set in the cartridge. The magnetic recording medium has a nonmagnetic support and a magnetic layer formed on the support and contains a magnetic powder and a binder. The magnetic powder comprises substantially spherical or ellipsoidal particles and at least one element selected from the group consisting of rare earth elements, silicon and aluminum, and has a Fe16N2 phase and an average particle size of 5 to 50 nm. |
