titleOfInvention Materials, methods and apparatus for treating a body cavity
abstract Materials, methods and apparatus for treating a body cavity. The present invention relates to materials, methods and apparatus for treating a body cavity or passageway. In particular, the invention relates to materials, methods and apparatus for treating a body cavity which has been subjected to some sort of trauma, such as surgery, resulting in a wound surface. The apparatus preferably comprises a two syringe sterilised package. One of the syringes contains CMC yarn which is convened to a CMC gel composition by mixing with water. The second syringe is used to measure water and mix it with the CMC yarn when connected to the yarn-containing syringe. When mixed, the CMC gel composition can be applied to a body cavity.
