A breath actuated nasal delivery device comprises a delivery unit <B>37</B> actuable to deliver substance on application of a delivery force, a loading unit <B>61</B> actuable to apply the delivery force to the delivery unit <B>37</B>. There is a mouthpiece <B>17</B> through which the user exhales. An air channel <B>23</B> is in fluid communication with the mouthpiece <B>17</B>, and disposed within the air channel <B>23</B> is an actuating member <B>89</B> comprising a flexible, bi-stable element <B>91</B> which is actuable between a first non-actuated state and a second actuated state in which the actuating member <B>89</B> actuates the loading unit <B>61</B> to apply the delivery force to the delivery unit <B>37</B> to actuate the same. There may be a nosepiece <B>19</B> which is inserted into a nostril. The invention also includes a delivery unit comprising a loading unit and a biasing element and a restraining member which is configured to be broken on actuation of the loading unit. Also disclosed is a breath actuated delivery device which has a mouthpiece, air channel within the mouthpiece and a flexible diaphragm disposed in the air channel; a delivery device comprising a delivery unit; a method of delivering substance to a nasal airway of a subject comprising providing a delivery unit which is actuable to delivery substance, loading a loading unit and actuating the loading unit to apply a delivery force to the delivery unit to actuate the same. |
