titleOfInvention Heat accumulating bricks for use in storage heaters
abstract A process for the manufacture of incompletely cured concrete bricks, comprises the steps of forming a dry mixture comprising a high temperature cement and magnetite; adding water to the mixture; pouring the wet mixture into a mould; applying pressure to the mixture in the mould to cast the brick, removing the brick from the mould and driving off moisture from the cast brick in a drying chamber. The high temperature cement is preferably high alumina cement. The dry mixture contains 92-93% by weight of magnetite. The incompletely cured concrete bricks which have been manufactured by this process are particularly suitable for use in storage heaters. The bricks do not require kiln firing prior to use in the storage heater.
