abstract | Cleansing-compositions for personal use without added liquid or a towel comprise wax, an emulsfying agent other than gum tragacanth, and water, emulsified to a paste or cream. There may be added a solvent such as methylated spirit inert to the wax, a perfume, and a preservative. In an example 1 pound of paraffin wax, 1/2 pound of mucilage of gum acacia, 3 pounds of water, 0.25 per cent of formic acid or 0.04 per cent of thymol, and a trace of oil of lavender are emulsified together in a centrifugal machine. |
