titleOfInvention | A DSP-based equalization system, e.g. for a vehicle |
abstract | A jump and lookup table 28 and filter coefficients 26, stored in a non-volatile memory 24 such as an EEPROM, are transferred to a volatile memory 32 of a DSP 12 and used to define an equalization structure 34 for filtering an input signal, e.g. an audio signal of a vehicle radio. The output may be used as an intermediate result which is subsequently applied to the same or a different equalization structure. This arrangement is said to maximise the usage of memory. |
