abstract | A circuit test method or means comprises: segmenting data; inputting a first data segment into a first memory320a; starting a test sequence; configuring the test sequence to forward the first data segment from the first memory 320a to a data bus 115 and inputting a subsequent data segment into a second memory 320b; reconfiguring the test sequence to forward the subsequent data segment from the second memory 320b to the data bus 115 and inputting the next data segment into the first memory 320a and repeating the reconfiguring step to alternate between the first and second memories 320a, 320b until all the test data is transferred. The complete transfer of a data segment to or from the first or second memories 320a, 320b may be detected and used to activate the reconfiguring step. A first control signal may be combined with a synchronous signal from a directory memory device to produce a second control signal 312 that is applied to a switch 330. The test system and method may provide a high data capacity and a high rate of data throughput. |
