Methods for Rapid Identification of Bacillus Cereus |
abstract |
A method and a kit therefor are disclosed for the detection of B.cereus. The method comprising mixing an antibody or antisera selected to bind specifically to one or more surface antigens selected from the group consisting of antigens having molecular masses or 28.5, 26.5 and 20 kDa, and detecting the anti-body/sera-antigen a positive binding reaction. The binding reaction may be detected by colony blot test assay or ELISA. Mannitol-egg yolk-polymyxin selective agar may be combined with the use of the binding reaction to facilitate identification of B.cereus. |
