abstract A terminal unit for processing an information recording card comprises a housing with a card reading slot formed therein and has a cover body. A display panel is mounted on the cover body. The cover body has a supporting member (1c) with arcuate recesses (11) and ring shaped end surfaces (13) onto which the display panel is mounted by means of a mounting member (3a). The mounting member (3a) has ring shaped end surfaces received in the recesses (11) and held between pans of the supporting member (1c). A fitting gap ( w ) between the supporting member and mounting member is set at a value such that a water droplet between the two members is supported by surface tension. The mounting means prevents water entering the unit through the display mounting portion.
