titleOfInvention | Stabilisation of cytokine solutions by casein |
abstract | A method of stabilising a polypeptide or cytokine solution or suspension by adding an exogenous hydrophobic molecule, preferably a caesin, is claimed. The casein may comprise an a and/or a b casein or more preferably bovine casein. The cytokine may be an interferon. HuINF- b is exemplified. Also claimed is a composition comprising a container with a hydrophobic inner surface coating of casein in contact with a pharmaceutical solution or suspension of a polypeptide. Alternatively claimed is a method of releasing a polypeptide adsorbed to a hydrophobic solid surface by contacting the solid surface with a mixture comprising a casein and incubating the surface with the mixture. |
