abstract |
The device has a cylindrical drum 16 rotated by a drive system 22 and a plurality of axially disposed filtering elements 60 that form part of the cylindrical wall 16b of the drum. The filtering elements are each connected to a process conduit 62. An axial opening 16e in the wall of the drum allows access for a system 28 to supply the liquid to be filtered. The cake produced by the filter is evacuated by a pipe 30 and collecting hopper 36 while the filtrate is evacuated by a further system of pipes (34, figure 4). A hydraulic assembly with a pulsed compressed air supply 64 and pipes 65, 66 forces the passage of liquid through the filtering elements. The assembly is adapted to communicate with the process conduits by a connecting system (40, figure 1) to allow an angular distribution of the operations effected by the device. |
