abstract |
A display device has the facility to rotate an image according to its orientation. The selection mechanism may be user operable or may include an orientation detector such as a tilt sensor and automatic switching between display modes. Also included is a mechanism is for adjusting the display according to the viewing angle. The display may be touch sensitive. A further embodiment incorporates first, second and third loudspeakers and/or microphones. Either the first and second, or the second and third loudspeakers and/or microphones form a left and right stereophonic pair depending on the orientation of the display. The display may be incorporated into a personal digital assistant or a palm top computer and may include a transceiver and antennae for communicating with a mobile telephone network or the Internet. The device may also include a digital camera. |
