abstract | A method of operating a Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) communication system is disclosed. The system includes a multi-carrier power amplifier, and the method has the steps of logging call activity on each timeslot of each carrier associated with the multi-carrier power amplifier, and logging total transmit power of the multi-carrier power amplifier for each timeslot. A new call is assigned to a new timeslot on a given carrier such that total transmit power is substantially uniform across all timeslots. |
