titleOfInvention Personal computer-incorporated numerical controller
abstract A personal computer-incorporated numerical controller which is constituted of an interruption generating circuit (40) in an NC section (100) which generates an interruption to the NC section (100) when a power-off switch (264) is pressed, a PC termination confirming means (51) in the NC section (100) which notifies a PC section (200) of a termination notice and requests a DS output circuit (16) to turn off a power unit (5) after confirming a termination notice from the PC section (200), a PC power-down processing section (220) which forcibly terminates the application program of the PC section (200) and an operating system after detecting the termination request from the confirming means (51), and a BIOS section (201) which informs the NC section (100) of the termination of the processing section (220) operating system after confirming the termination of the operating system. Therefore, the power supply to a PC-incorporated numerical controller can be turned off soundly without destroying an external storage device, such as the hard disk storage device, etc.
